Ok so it's been awhile since I have done a CD Review Tuesday and I thought It was time ti pick this back up. So I am going to review two slightly new CD's. The new Christy Nockels album Life Light Up is great. It is her first solo project as well as first project under sixsteps records and anything thing Louie and Shelley put out is golden! This CD has many great songs... but the title track is by far the best. Life Light Up is an amazing song. I like her version of Charlie Hall's Marvelous Light. Also Brooke Fraser's Hosanna which she has done on other Passion projects plus A Mighty Fortress are my fav's. Any way you should definitely go and by this one it is chalked full of songs for the local church! Todd Fields is a great song writer and has released a few albums but this one is by far the most current and cutting edge sounding of all of them. His does a version of From The Inside Out and It Is Well but his originals are the best on the album I think. ...

Where we have been looking at the book of James. Today we looked at James 3:1-12. Our tongues and what we say has a lot of power. We can encourage and we can tear down, we can Praise the Lord and we can curse men out of the same mouth. James 3 tells us that all of man can tame animals but that none of us can tame our tongues. It was a very challenging message given by Scott and I hope this is something that our church never grows lackadaisical in. We always have to strive for encouraging one another and halting gossip in order to fight for unity. We can never l...

Wow, I am so excited to head back home to Kentucky and spend some time blessing people back home and being blessed in return. I am anticipating amazing things about this trip home. I know God is going to do lots of amazing things at the different things I am leading worship at. I am also looking for to being with family tremendously! T he first thing I will be doing is leading worship for the church I grew up in called Berea Baptist C hurch. This church is the church where I was baptized and excepted Christ. BBC has always felt like family to me. Every-time I go it feels like a family reunion. So I am thrilled to be able top bless them and to celebrate Jesus with my family. BBC has been a huge support to my family as well as to Resonate even though they don't know it. BBC has taken my family on as missionaries and actively supports us financially here at Resonate paying a portion of my salary. So it will be awesome to be able to thank them and love on them and share ...

Scott or Lead Pastor was back this week and he picked up where Petie our Family Life Pastor left off. Scott finished the rest of chapter one. We looked at Joshua 1:1-11. Scott did an amazing job unpacking what that looks like and comparing the fear Joshua had to face to the fear in our lives that we have to face. And next week we will start our new series on James called "According To Jim". For worship this weekend it felt a little bit like I was a Backstreet Boy! Because for the first time we had no girls on stage. Which that was not my choice it...
