Today was the last week of our Dave Ramsey series from LifeChurch.tv called Life. Money. Hope. Dave Ramsey has been a huge blessing to our church during this series. I really feel that people are beginning to understand more about giving and being better stewards of God's money. I believe this series is going to bring a huge, healthy shift in our people towards tithing and money in general. My prayer has been that GOd would bring us to a place of hatred towards debt and credit cards. I believe debt is a huge tool of the enemy to stripe God's people away from being effective financially for the kingdom. I know that God has put a huge desire on our heart personally to begin having our own benevolence fund so that we can bless more people who are in need. If we begin to be smarter financially God will give us more and more opportunity to be Christ to people and ultimately that is what our job is. To be a light in the incredibly dark world. So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

So we began anew series this week joining with well over 700,000 other churches across the world to discover more of God together. We will be discovering and looking deeper into this statement "God Is..." We are going to dig deep for four weeks looking at some characteristics of who God is.
