Have You Ever Had A Moment Like This?
































Have you ever had a moment while leading worship when lyrics hits you and you realize that that lyrics is what you have been trying to teach and help people understand for years?  i have been the Worship Arts Pastor at Resonate Church for 3 and a half years now and last week I was over taken by emotion while leading How Great Is Our God. To be honest it really surprised me.  It was like a sneak attack from the Holy Spirit.  I like this song but it really isn't a song that grips me the way that it did that day.  The lyrics of the song spoke to me in an amazing way that day.  It was as if I was singing what my heart longed for our congregation to known, feel and acknowledge.  It was a powerful moment that I am very thankful to have had.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...
