It's Been Awhile...


Hey I know it has been a few weeks or even more since I put up a new post.  So here is a new one.  I have many things to write about but nothing really that I am ready to write about yet.  So I will just give a general update...  Greenlee is doing awesome... she is so beautiful.  Kristy is doing awesome... she is so beautiful.  Kristy and I have started going on daily walks in the morning with Greenlee trying to add some exercise in our life and do something fun with our daughter.  

I still driving every weekend to Cincinnati to lead worship for my good friend Alton Alexander.  It has been amazing I love it so much!  They have an amazing youth group, amazing facilities and just all around great people.  The thing that I have noticed and appreciate more than anything is the spiritual maturity of everyone I have come in contact with there.  It really is a blessing to have this experience of being there!

I am also interviewing at another church right now.  This church is probably in the coolest town in the nation!  It is a new church plant and has had an amazing start.  They have many baptism in their short existence and God is really helping a lot of people through this church.  Kristy and I are just waiting patiently to see if this is something that God has in store for us.  It is really far away but if everything works out it is definitely the type of church we would love to be apart of.  

We are still living with my mom since we sold our house and it is getting better and better.  We are feeling more and more comfortable especially Kristy.  It has been fun to do a lot of things that I normally didnt get the chance to do living in Lexington.  I have been able to spend a lot of time with my brother, my nieces and nephews, and both my grandmothers, and of course a ton of time with my mom.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...
