Kim Walker Night of Worship 11.15.08




So Kristy and I left Greenlee with my mom while she was in town and took two new friends and fellow staff member at Resonate Petie and Brittany Kinder with us to a night of worship with Kim Walker.  I have written about Kim Walker a few times.  She is a worship pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, California.  The night of worship was at a new church plant called 1st Love Church.  This church plant was in Gig Harbor just outside of Seattle.  We worshiped for three hours and then had a time of prayer for the power and presence of the Lord to come like a tidal wave over the Pacific Northwest.  It was a great night.  If you have not heard of Kim Walker please go and get her CD's, it is amazing.  You can go to... My Weekend and Thoughts About Visiting Passion City Church

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. HERE ARE THE MAIN THINGS I LEARNED FROM THEIR LEADERSHIP TEAM ABOUT HOW THEY LEAD, GUIDE AND DIRECT THE PEOPLE OF PASSION CITY CHURCH! The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...
