This week we were in week 3 of our series called Rated R.  This weeks message was about how we can be healed from Sexual sin but not only sexual sin the cancer of all sin.  It was a great service all together such a powerful word was spoken to us.  No matter how many times we hear about God healing us and taking away our sin as believers it is so easily forgotten or passed over easily as if we deserve it or God owes us something.  God is really moving through this series.  

We started out with I Adore You as people are walking in to set the tone of our worship time together for the day.  After some business upfront we jumped right into Faithful.  The version we did was from Kristian Stanfill new Attention EP.  YOu should definitely check it out it is a great teaser to what is to come in his full album.  Then we went into a Resonate favorite Your Love Never Fails and Healer during offering and communion.  We ended the service with the Big Daddy Weave song.  Musically we had a rough weekend but in those weekends I generally find out that it is because I tried to do something on my own because I wanted to and God allows me to fail and to remember that everything is because and through him.  So we spent some time praying and begging for God to show up in a mighty way.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

So we began anew series this week joining with well over 700,000 other churches across the world to discover more of God together. We will be discovering and looking deeper into this statement "God Is..." We are going to dig deep for four weeks looking at some characteristics of who God is.
