This week was an awesome week!  We ended our series called Rated R.  The Rated R series was a four week series looking at Lust, Secrets, Healing and Purity.  It was a very challenging and no beating around the bush on this series.  This week our electric guitar player lead worship for us so I could take weekend off.  It was such a blessing and Rob did and amazing job.  If everyone had a heart like Rob's this world would be amazing and Washington would be different state.  This week we did communion very celebratory and upbeat.  They lead Your Grace Is Enough and it was cool to see people up getting communion singing the words at the top of their lungs.  Normally we do communion really somber and reflective.  But this weekend we wanted to remember that the didn't end on Friday, but on Sunday that Jesus rose from the grave and we wanted to celebrate that.  Next week we will be starting a new series called 168 where we will be looking at the last 168 hours (7 days) of Jesus life.  We will be introducing some new songs for sure during this time.  There are many awesome some songs to do during the Easter season.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

We will be discovering and looking deeper into this statement "God Is..." We are going to dig deep for four weeks looking at some characteristics of who God is.
