This weekend was a cool weekend. It felt a little slow because we were pretty low on people. We had some snow and so about 25% of our congregation went to Bedside Baptist. But Scott's message was really, really good. So if you didnt get a chance to listen to it go to iTunes and get the podcast. He talked about Jesus' time in the Garden of Gethsemane. There was some good history to it. I think it was kind of a shocker to most what all Jesus went through that night before even being crucified. I know I couldn't even handle the stress of that night. But he went through so much more for us than just that one night.
We went right out of the message to Love Song. I did it just on acoustic by myself. The Scott cam up and set up our Responsive Worship time. During offering / communion / stations of the cross we did about 15 minutes version of Majesty. I have been doing this Spontaneous part to Majesty for the past few months that I heard Brian Johnson from Bethel Church do. Here are the words:
Thank You for Your grace
Thank You for Your blood
Full of grace You left Your love
Now I am free
Now I can sing
You washed the shame, the guilt
You blew it all away
I wanna thank You for Your blood
I wanna thank You for Your love (repeat 4x's)
Then we go into the chorus of Majesty. I loved it and it really amplified Majesty when I heard Brian do it; it is very powerful. At the end of Majesty we went really big into the chorus of How Great Is Our God three times. And that was all she wrote.
