Wow... this weekend was a tear jerker! Every time you hear stories or grace it makes you a little weepy. Every time we slow down and think about what God has done in our lives and where we have come from it should blow us away. God did that this weekend! We had two beautiful examples of that Sunday. As we shared in the Baptism of an amazing couple here at Resonate. Scott shared about Luke 15 the parable about the prodigal son and it was so powerful. I hope this weekend was as big for others at Resonate as it was for me. I was so encouraged by the Vardhal's stories and there steps of faith this past weekend. It is so encouraging to see God at work in people's lives out here in Seattle. Thank you Jesus for loving us and chasing us down with your love.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

We will be discovering and looking deeper into this statement "God Is..." We are going to dig deep for four weeks looking at some characteristics of who God is.
