We began a new six week series this weekend called "Lift Ticket". This series is based on our six values that we have at Resonate. This weekend we talked about Biblical Authority. Values are always important to talk about all year long. But we wanted to start the new year off reminding ourselves what we are about and to realign ourselves with the values and vision of Resonate. As Andy Stanley says, "Values are the things that we hold to be most important that determine our ought-tos". We know that the path that we are all on personally leads to a destination. Some of us don't like where we are going... and some of us need to shift paths a little. The amazing thing about God's grace is that no matter what path we are on God can lift us up and place us on His path. Just like Psalm 119:9 asks, "How can a young man keep his way (or path) pure? By living according to your word". God has given us a trail map to know how to live our life so that we can have a life full or joy and hope. But we must allow God's Word to be the authority over our lives. But like James 1:21 says we cannot be just hearers of the Word but also doers! Lets me doers of the Word this year!
