Well, this Sunday was an interesting weekend. Actually, I (Jason) was supposed to be teaching about our Value called Gifted Service and 1 Peter 4:10. But I suffered a back injury while doing one of the Holiest things there is... "PAINTBALL"! So Scott took my message and made it his own doing a phenomenal job as he always does. The message was based on 1 Peter 4:10 which tell us that we all have a God given gift and we are supposed to use it to serve others. Our gifts aren't to benefit ourselves but others. In many churches we get one area of service really good. We do a great job of recruiting areas of service inside the walls of the church. Such as, worship ministry, kids ministries and so on. But we forget a huge part of that... that our gifts are to be used outside the walls of the church as well. Our desire was to plead with the Spirit to stir up our people and give them a heart like Jesus' for serving others. We can't just sit around and wait for other people to do the job of blessing and serving others. Jesus called all of us who are Christ followers to be the hands and feet of Jesus. That can seem like a big and daunting task. But if we look at it the way Mother Theresa did when she said, "In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love". That is so true. GOD I PRAY THAT AT RESONATE YOU WOULD GIVE US YOUR HEART FOR PEOPLE! THAT WE WOULD BE KNOWN MORE FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN THANT WHAT WE DISAGREE WITH! THAT WE WOULD CHANGE THE WAY PEOPLE VIEW THE CHURCH BY OUR LOVE AND GOOD WORKS FOR BONNEY LAKE, WASHINGTON, THE UNITED STATES AND THE WORLD! WE LOVE YOU AND DO ALL THESE THINGS FOR YOU!

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. HERE ARE THE MAIN THINGS I LEARNED FROM THEIR LEADERSHIP TEAM ABOUT HOW THEY LEAD, GUIDE AND DIRECT THE PEOPLE OF PASSION CITY CHURCH! The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." No matter what happens on a Sunday nothing trumps this!  At most of our churches the focus can be on that the chairs weren't set up correctly or that something didn't get put back the way it should have.  Those things can and should be addressed, but they are so far down the line in importance.  The fact that Jesus Is Alive is the main thing! Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

So we began anew series this week joining with well over 700,000 other churches across the world to discover more of God together. We will be discovering and looking deeper into this statement "God Is..." We are going to dig deep for four weeks looking at some characteristics of who God is. This week Scott talked about "God is... HOLY". Holy simply means: exalted, something completely set a part, other than, something on a higher plane, something bigger than us that can't be measured by the standards that we measure ourselves, worthy of honor & respect, above us, all together different.
