Vision 2010 Day 2 (Sessions #2, #3, and #4)

Pastor of Christian Faith Center Dr. Casey Treat spoke about 5 Core Strength That Grow Your Life. Core strengths and values are what are important to us. They are the controlling factor in our lives. We cannot have opposing beliefs!
Core Strength's:
1.) You have to have a clear and motivating vision and mission from JESUS.
Our Vision should always inspire us to invest! It always has to be worth the cost! When you close your eyes you should see more than when they are open. A lot of the time we are to busy to hear a vision from Jesus because we are trying to be someone else. Whatever we do we cannot get bored with our vision and mission. Because when we get bored that is when we get in trouble. Look at David... he was supposed to be out fighting with his troops in battle and he decided to stay at home one time. The Bible says he woke up at noon! He was bored and that is when he met what would be his demise Bathsheba. Don't get bored with your vision and mission!
2.) The Word of God, Worship & Prayer As The Source of Power In Your Life.
This has to be the foundation for everything we do! If not we will die spiritually... we will dry up. As Pastor's we always try to figure out new and great ideas.. but it is always to promote and push the same old thing, God's Word. We cannot lose sight of this. We have to ask God to give us passion and excitement for these three things. If not we will be living day to day for the activities of life rather than the Word, Worship and Prayer!
The next three continue on Session #5.

We have three different types of people in our life.
1.) Confidants: who are people that are for you! You can be real with them and they can be real with you.
2.) Constituents: these people are for what you are for. They are for the same mission you are for, but they aren't necessarily for you. They will switch churches at the drop of a hat if another church or pastor can get them to their goal quicker.
3.) Comrades: They are only against what you are against.
We need to search and seek out confidants in our life! We need people who can pour into us and challenge us on a real level. We need an Elisha. T.D. talked about 1 Kings 18. Which is the story of Elijah and Elisha. We all need Elisha's in our life. People who are for us. And even if we tell them to leave us alone they won't. Elisha's mission was to was ELijah feet and serve him and encourage him no matter what. We need people like that in our life! Because we can't change until we are exposed. We need people in our lives to expose things about us and to bring them into light. I want someone whom I respect and love that is a comrade to tell me... "Hey man, I think you are getting a little full or yourself" or "Hey I think you need to work on how you treat your wife." We all need comrades in our life! So go find some!

Creflo talked about honor. The definition of honor is to make heavy, to carry weight, or to weigh in. When we honor God that means that His Word should weigh heavy on or heart. We should seek God and His Word first in every decision we make in every area of our life. S for you, what is it or who is it that has the most influence in your life? God's Word should have major weight in our life! In Ephesians 6:1-8 when it says that we should honor our father and mother... that means that you not only obey them but you give them the opportunity to speak into your life. The awesome thing about God is when we honor Him, He honor's us. If we honor Him in all that we do our prayers will have weight in heaven. God honor's us in ways that no one else can ever honor us!
