Band: Acoustic & Lead Vocals: Me Songs: Give Me Faith (Elevation Worship) Higher Than The Mountains / Love Never Fails (Brian Johnson) Worthy Is The Lamb (Brian Johnson) Always Forever (Phil Wickham) This week Pastor Scott challenged us to not be like many churches... while also not being like many churches. Are you confused? Good. There are many churches and you have seen them, because they are usually attached to something. Have you seen people wearing sandwich board with threats of hell on them? Have you seen people handing out tracks telling people about how they are going to hell? The best is the guys with the bullhorn's yelling at people. Or the creepy people who come to your door and try to sell you to Christianity right there on the spot. WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO BE LIKE THESE CHURCHES! But we don't want you to be like the majority of churches either. Most churches in America has a come and see mentality. They expect people to come to them... but this isnt th...

Songs: Burn (Dave Fitzgerald) Love Came Down (Brian Johnson) Holding Nothing Back (Tim Hughes) Healer (Hillsong United) Band: Acoustic & Lead Vocals: Rob Sherrod BGV's: Carly Absher So this Sunday we began our new evangelism series called "SHINE". I talked about how this series is an application series based on the series we just finished "How To Eat An Elephant". When reading God's Word becomes a critical part of our every day lives and we apply what it says evangelism then naturally becomes a part of our every day life as well. In order to understand evangelism a little better I asked three questions to help us understand this topic. What Is Our Light? How Bright Is Your Light? And, Is Your Light Private Or Public? Our light is only bright when we are plugged into the source. Scripture tel...

Songs: Burn (Dave Fitzgerald) Higher Than The Mountains / Love Never Fails (Brian Johnson) Always Forever (Phil Wickham) Band: Drums: Mark Monteiro Bass: Gerald Lay Electric Guitar & Lead Vocals: (Me), Jason Eaton BGV's: Sarah Hatfield This weekend was the last weekend for our series How To Eat An Elephant. We have heard from many of you about the long lasting impact that this series will have on you for a long time. Personally I believe this is the most important series we will or could ever do. When it comes down to Christianity it is about Transformation and allowing God's Word to renew our minds daily. God has daily words for you and I. He wants to connect with us every day! He wants to spend time with us each and every day and in this series we gave you very practical tools and resources on how to do that. Scott wrapped up the series by asking us this question. What is the point of Christianity? Is the goal behavior modification? Is the goal religion? Is the g...

Band: Drums: Mark Monteiro Bass: HD Messinger Electric & Lead Vocals: Rob Sherrod BGV's: Mary Beth Holmes Songs: Awesome Is The Lord Most High (Chris Tomlin) Nothing Is Impossible (Planet Shackers) Our God (Chris Tomlin) This Sunday's message was called "Hiding What's Most Important". We talked about Scripture Memorization. This is one of the most important things we can do in our transformation process to become like Christ. Yet it is something that most Christ-followers eliminate from their spiritual disciplines. John Ortberg in his book "The Life You've Always Wanted" states it like this... “ The purpose of knowing Scripture is not to help us get a 100 score on the heavenly entrance exam. It is to help us become equipped for good works. If the Bible were to completely fulfill its mission, our minds would be so transformed—so filled with thoughts and feelings of truth, love, joy, and humility—that our lives would become one uninterrupted se...
