Songs: One Way (Hillsong United) The Heart of Worship (Matt Redman) Here I Am To Worship (Tim Hughes) How Great Is Our God (Chris Tomlin) Band: Cajon: Mark Monteiro Acoustic Guitar & Lead Vocals: Corey Wilkins BGV's: Mary Beth Holmes This weekend I had the privilege of talking about UNLEARNing WORSHIP. This is something that I believe the Church really needs to UNLEARN. Some how in America we have shrunk worship into 15-30 minutes of singing on Sunday. We were created by God to be WORSHIPERS. Worship is a full life response to the greatness and grace of God. Romans 12:1 says, Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. And John 4:23 says, Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. The important thing I want us to gathe...

If you know me at all, you know I hate hiking, sweating, outdoors, or anything remotely close to those things. You may also know my beautiful bride is an avid hiker, sweater, and do anything outdoors kind of girl. So the other day for a date day I thought Kristy would love it if I took her to hike Mt. Peak. The picture to the left is a picture of Mt. Rainier from Mt. Peak. Mt. Peak is in Enumclaw, Washington just a short drive from our town. Also, Mt. Peak is a volcanic knob that was encased by the later deposits of the Osceola Mudflow. The Osceola Mudflow occurred when part of Mt. Rainier errupted many years ago, sending a slurry of rock and glacier into the river valleys. Mt. Peak tops out at 1800 feet and used to have a Forest Service Fire Lookout at the top. The tower is long gone. All that is left is the evidence of the foundations. We hiked Mt. Peak and Kristy had a good time... I was huffing and puffing the entire way up! A few days pass and my work out partners, Mr. Scot...

Set List: Everlasting God (Brenton Brown) How He Loves (John Mark McMillan) Always Forever (Phil Wickham) Band: Acoustic & Lead Vocals: (Me), Jason Eaton BGV's: Sarah Hatfield This weekend we had a great guest speaker Jodi Hickerson from Plant Ventura. We have been in the UNLEARN series for three weeks now and Jodi spoke about UNLEARN Woman. Our big idea for this message is "In order to be the WOMAN God has created you to be, You have to UNLEARN the WOMAN you have become." Women have to learn to the desire of seduction. Woman have been given the natural gift of seduction, we saw it in the Garden of Eden. Phil 2:3-4 says, Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. (NIV) Don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand...

Ummmmmm..... I CAN'T WAIT!

That's all I have to say....

Songs: I Will Follow (Chris Tomlin) Love Came Down (Brian Johnson) Jesus Lover of My Soul One Thing Remains (Brian Johnson) Band: Acoustic & Lead Vocals: (Me), Jason Eaton BGV's: Mary Beth Holmes We started this brand new series called UNLEARN this week because we believe that in order to be the people that we were created to be we have to unlearn who we've become. Before we were born God had an exact idea of who He wanted us to be. But through our life we all get off track and become a different people. We are surrounded by things that change us... and the number one things is culture and other people. At the beginning of every year we tend to look back over the previous and think about starting a fresh new year and we get excited about that. But we want to begin the new year UNLEARNing things from the past year so that when we get to the end of 2011 we will be people who resemble Jesus a lot more! In order to UNLEARN things we have to EXAMINE ourselves and our past ...
