Our VIP Weekend @ Newspring Church

I got to attend a weekend with NewSpring Church in Anderson, South Carolina and it was an incredible time.  It was easy to see the minute I got on the campus why this church has become one of the largest churches in America have just over 65,000 members on different campuses all over South Carolina.

Once you arrive on the campus they have a sign asking if it is your first time to please turn your car flashers on. This was incredible.... as soon as they saw us the parking attendants went nuts!  They were jumping, doing the NWO Scott Hall arm gesture, and much more.  It wasn't creepy, weird or over the top, it was just FUN!  You could tell from the beginning that their volunteers were going to be very special and that they came ready to give 110%! They immediately directed us to a from row parking spot that had a sign saying it was saved for 1st Timers.

As soon as we stepped out of the car a young lady was waiting for us to great us and introduce herself. She let us know that she was there to show us around and to help us get familiar with the campus and to help us get Greenlee (our daughter) all checked in.  Again, I was very impressed because we have all been to those churches where the people are creepy and you can tell that someone has told them that every person who walks in the door has to receive 55,000 thousand touches before they reach their seat.  This wasn't the case.  THEY WERE NORMAL! Yes!  She walked us through the lobby and showed us where the coffee was as well as their guest services. She also gave us an invite card to attend the Green Room Environment after the service to be able to have some great desert and meet the staff and ask any questions.

Once she walked us into Springtown which is the area devoted to Kid Spring I was amazed.  Did we just walk into Disney World? Their volunteers were so sweet and were so excited about Greenlee being there.  Again they were not weird, they were awesome. My immediate thought was, "Wow, this church really cares a lot of kids.  More so than any church I have ever been to."  They were super helpful in checking us in and they gave us a big goody bag with tons of fun stuff for Greenlee and lots of information about Kids Spring. Greenlee was running with excitement to get to her room that looked amazing and she got to play, sing a bunch or songs, and have a full program designed just for her.  I LOVED HOW AGE APPROPRIATE THEY WERE!  As it said in their info that is one of their Values and they are doing it!  Their Kids Spring check out was phenomenal and as a parent I felt like my kiddo was super safe.  I kid you not Greenlee asked probably a thousand times over the week if we could move there and make that our church.  She loved it!

I left NewSpring that day thinking man the worship was good and of course I love Perry Noble, he is a great teacher.  Kristy and I laughed a lot and had a wonderful time let alone that Greenlee would have stayed there without us if we would have let her. But I am telling you THE VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY!  I was amazed!  From the parking team, greeting team, to the Kid Spring team if you could clone them and put them at every church our country would be a Christian Nation again and the church would be exploding!  I am being for real! If you get a chance go and check out NewSpring sometime!!!

The campus was beautiful, super clean and just an amazing place with tons of parking!

As you see here on the left was our 1st Timer parking spot right up front.  The lobby was full of volunteers and the buzz about what God is doing at that church was infectious! I'm ready to go back today! The upstairs area is where the Green Room is for after service meet and greets!

The auditorium was HUGE! And BEAUTIFUL! The level of production here dominates anything I have seen.  It would put an awards show to shame.  The music was rockin and very loud!  Probably around 130 dB I'm guessing.  I was so impressed with the continuaty and flow of their service.  They are very creative down to the first second.  The level or professionalism was truly inspiring to me.

In the lobby they have their giving kiosks which was a very awesome idea!  Also they have a special room that looks like a million dollar house living room that is fully staffed with people who are available for any prayer concerns and any pastoral care someone might need. Wow!  It was packed with people before and after the service with people sitting and praying and talking.  Tons of ministry happening in that spot.

Kid Spring I would give an A+.  My daughter fell in love with it and talked about it for days!  She is ready to pack her bags and leave family to move there today and I kind of agree with her!  It was truly incredible and I know they do but they should constantly celebrate their Kid Spring volunteers because the GET IT and are COMPLETE ALL STARS!
