Update... 05.12.08

So many things are going on in our life right now...  My wife and I are trying to sell our house, we have a 6 month old who is changing every day, I am going to hopefully be working at Vineyard Cincinnati this summer with a good friend Alton as an interim worship pastor, we are interviewing with a few churches, and our heart is still with a little church and a few friends in a little place called Raleigh.  

As you are praying for us and I know many off you are... please be praying for these three things...

1.) That my wife finds a job wherever God wants us.  That God will line up her a job unless he wants us to move somewhere where I will get paid enough for her to stay at home which would be nice, but probably not likely.

2.)  Pray that we sell our house even if God wants us to stay in Lexington and prepare us for the future.  We really need to sell our house!

3.)  Pray that I will be humbled and that my pride would die.  I have a tendency to think I am to good to bus tables for a summer or for a year.  My worry is that if God isn't going to put us in ministry right away that I will be willing to take on whatever He wants me to learn.  I do not want to be like the Israelites and go around the same mountain for 40 years.  I want God to prune, destroy whatever it is in me that He doesn't like and lead me in His timing to where He needs me.  I don't want it to be longer because of my pride or selfishness.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

Here On Earth (Bryan and Katie Torwalt / Jesus Culture Music) CD Review

So I'm excited that Jesus Culture is branching out and getting new artists to be apart of their label. This is a great step. I really love this album by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. Bryan and Katie are worship pastors at The River in Fresno . I first heard about them because they lead worship at Jesus Culture's Awakening Conference inChicago this past week. I really love the album a lot. To see a live interview / get to know the artists video click here to see them interviewed by Kim Walker-Smith ( @KimWalkerSmith ). As well as listen to bits of every song on the album. My favorite song hands down and will be a song that we do at Resonate is "Holy Spirit" I love songs that start off slowly and become huge as the song continues. I love the theme of this song. The theme is all about encountering the presence of the Holy Spirit during our times of worship. This theme is an area that God is calling Resonate to grow in and I really think this song could help...
