Awesome Opportunities This Coming Week!


Wow, I am so excited to head back home to Kentucky and spend some time blessing people back home and being blessed in return. I am anticipating amazing things about this trip home. I know God is going to do lots of amazing things at the different things I am leading worship at. I am also looking for to being with family tremendously!

The first thing I will be doing is leading worship for the church I grew up in called Berea Baptist Church. This church is the church where I was baptized and excepted Christ. BBC has always felt like family to me. Every-time I go it feels like a family reunion. So I am thrilled to be able top bless them and to celebrate Jesus with my family. BBC has been a huge support to my family as well as to Resonate even though they don't know it. BBC has taken my family on as missionaries and actively supports us financially here at Resonate paying a portion of my salary. So it will be awesome to be able to thank them and love on them and share with them the amazing things God is doing here in the Pacific Northwest!

My next stop will be on Tuesday with my amazing friends at Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati. Vineyard has been a huge blessing to me and the ministry that God has called me to. It is one of the most encouraging places I have ever been to. A place chalked full of talent and a passion to do anything and everything for Jesus!


So I am going to be leading worship for their Vineyard Student Union. Which I had the huge privilege to lead worship for their HS kids last summer and it was such a blessing! So they have asked me to come and lead worship for their big conference they do called SOS or Summer of Service. Please check out this site and see all the awesome things going this year at this camp. There will be thousands of student all celebrating and worshiping Jesus and going out during the day making much of Jesus by being His hands and feet to a city that needs to know him. What an awesome opportunity! Check out this video from last years SOS as a recap from what God did last year.
Not to mention that I will be getting to lead worship with other amazing worship leaders. Phil Wickam (Monday Night), Jeremy Riddle (Wednesday Night), and Robbie Reider (Thursday Night). So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

Here On Earth (Bryan and Katie Torwalt / Jesus Culture Music) CD Review

So I'm excited that Jesus Culture is branching out and getting new artists to be apart of their label. This is a great step. I really love this album by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. Bryan and Katie are worship pastors at The River in Fresno . I first heard about them because they lead worship at Jesus Culture's Awakening Conference inChicago this past week. I really love the album a lot. To see a live interview / get to know the artists video click here to see them interviewed by Kim Walker-Smith ( @KimWalkerSmith ). As well as listen to bits of every song on the album. My favorite song hands down and will be a song that we do at Resonate is "Holy Spirit" I love songs that start off slowly and become huge as the song continues. I love the theme of this song. The theme is all about encountering the presence of the Holy Spirit during our times of worship. This theme is an area that God is calling Resonate to grow in and I really think this song could help...
