Ok so it's been awhile since I have done a CD Review Tuesday and I thought It was time ti pick this back up. So I am going to review two slightly new CD's.























The new Christy Nockels album Life Light Up is great. It is her first solo project as well as first project under sixsteps records and anything thing Louie and Shelley put out is golden! This CD has many great songs... but the title track is by far the best. Life Light Up is an amazing song. I like her version of Charlie Hall's Marvelous Light. Also Brooke Fraser's Hosanna which she has done on other Passion projects plus A Mighty Fortress are my fav's. Any way you should definitely go and by this one it is chalked full of songs for the local church!























Todd Fields is a great song writer and has released a few albums but this one is by far the most current and cutting edge sounding of all of them. His does a version of From The Inside Out and It Is Well but his originals are the best on the album I think. Breathe on Me is beast! Todd Fields is one of the worship pastors at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA. And was a long time worship leader at 7|22. This is where I first heard of him and learned to really appreciate him as a worship leader. Also please check out North Point's Music website and check out a bunch of his other stuff!

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

Here On Earth (Bryan and Katie Torwalt / Jesus Culture Music) CD Review

So I'm excited that Jesus Culture is branching out and getting new artists to be apart of their label. This is a great step. I really love this album by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. Bryan and Katie are worship pastors at The River in Fresno . I first heard about them because they lead worship at Jesus Culture's Awakening Conference inChicago this past week. I really love the album a lot. To see a live interview / get to know the artists video click here to see them interviewed by Kim Walker-Smith ( @KimWalkerSmith ). As well as listen to bits of every song on the album. My favorite song hands down and will be a song that we do at Resonate is "Holy Spirit" I love songs that start off slowly and become huge as the song continues. I love the theme of this song. The theme is all about encountering the presence of the Holy Spirit during our times of worship. This theme is an area that God is calling Resonate to grow in and I really think this song could help...
