NEW SERIES BEGINNING May 16th, 2010






















In this series we will delve deeper into the mysteries of who were are in Christ. For some of us we will here the gospel for the first time and for the rest of us we will be reminded of exactly what God has done and provided for us who call Him Lord. Week One is called "Marked". We will talk about God's pursuit of us and the grace and forgiveness He has in His heart towards us. Week Two is called "New". We all desire to have some Tattoo's in our life covered up. Either from past mistakes or foolish things we have done. The good news is we serve a God who is into making things new. We look deeper into Baptism as we celebrate with many people who will be giving their lives to Christ through Baptism. Week Three is called "His Mark". This week we will talk through who we are in Christ, our identity. When we accept Christ as our personal Lord and Savior He marks us as a new creation in Him and He begins to change us from the inside out into the people He created us to be. The last week; Week Four is called "Our Mark". When God changes us an turns us into a new creation it does something to us. He changes our heart for His and gives us a desire to leave a lasting impact on our world. We should have the desire to change this world for Him and tell everyone we know about how God has made us new. In doing this we will leave a mark on our world that can change the course of history and all of man-kind. We hope you come and join us as we take off on this four week series.

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

Here On Earth (Bryan and Katie Torwalt / Jesus Culture Music) CD Review

So I'm excited that Jesus Culture is branching out and getting new artists to be apart of their label. This is a great step. I really love this album by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. Bryan and Katie are worship pastors at The River in Fresno . I first heard about them because they lead worship at Jesus Culture's Awakening Conference inChicago this past week. I really love the album a lot. To see a live interview / get to know the artists video click here to see them interviewed by Kim Walker-Smith ( @KimWalkerSmith ). As well as listen to bits of every song on the album. My favorite song hands down and will be a song that we do at Resonate is "Holy Spirit" I love songs that start off slowly and become huge as the song continues. I love the theme of this song. The theme is all about encountering the presence of the Holy Spirit during our times of worship. This theme is an area that God is calling Resonate to grow in and I really think this song could help...
