Wow, What a weekend. God really has been moving throughout Resonate this past few months. We are growing numerically and even more importantly spiritually. We are seeing more and more people giving their lives to this amazing Savior that we have given our lives to serving. This week was special because we began a new series called Tattoo. This weekends message was called "Marked". We all have scars, marks, tattoo's, in our life that are from past mistakes or foolish things that we wish we could erase or cover up in our life. It was great to bring good news to the people that we have a God who can do that! We have a God who exchanges our marks for His. We were able to help people answer the age long question "Can anyone fix my brokenness?" We were forever changed because the realization that John 3:16-17 is true and that when God says "whoever"... He really means whoever! He longs to make us new creations and to pick us up wherever we are and place us on solid ground! He longs to give us a way for the future and a hope for tomorrow! We wants to take our tattoo's and crucify them on the cross He bore. Continue journeying with us in this series it is going to be great!

So I got an inside look into the amazing stuff going on at Passion City Church in Buckhead (ATL), Georgia. I learned so many great things about how they communicate, lead, set vision, and much more that I wanted to share my thoughts from visiting.  Plus a bunch or pictures below. The lead story (the headline) at Passion City Church is always the same and that is that "Jesus Is Alive." Our VIP Weekend @ Elevation Church

So I got to attend a Sunday night service at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC at the Blakeney Campus. The area of Charlotte probably has now officially become one of my favorite areas in the country.  I could easily live there. Once we pulled onto the street to get to the church they had signs asking if it was your first time to the church to turn on your car flashers.  Once the parking team noticed it they immediately sent you to prime front row parking.  At Elevation they call first time guests VIP's.  Also, a part of being a VIP is to immediately go to the black VIP tent right outside the front doors where they give your a bunch of free stuff!  We filled out the paper work needed to put our daughter into her Elevation Kids class then we were given a VIP packet with a free CD and message from Pastor Steven Furtick.   They walked us to the Kids check in and the kids volunteers had Greenlee (our daughter) jumping up and down with excitement...

Here On Earth (Bryan and Katie Torwalt / Jesus Culture Music) CD Review

So I'm excited that Jesus Culture is branching out and getting new artists to be apart of their label. This is a great step. I really love this album by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. Bryan and Katie are worship pastors at The River in Fresno . I first heard about them because they lead worship at Jesus Culture's Awakening Conference inChicago this past week. I really love the album a lot. To see a live interview / get to know the artists video click here to see them interviewed by Kim Walker-Smith ( @KimWalkerSmith ). As well as listen to bits of every song on the album. My favorite song hands down and will be a song that we do at Resonate is "Holy Spirit" I love songs that start off slowly and become huge as the song continues. I love the theme of this song. The theme is all about encountering the presence of the Holy Spirit during our times of worship. This theme is an area that God is calling Resonate to grow in and I really think this song could help...
