Songs: Blessed Be Your Name (Mat Redman) You Never Let Go (Matt Redman) Your Name (Paul Baloche & Glenn Packiam) All I Can Say (David Crowder* Band) Band: Acoustic, Loops & Lead Vocals: (Me), Jason Eaton Electric: Rob Sherrod Bass: HD Messinger BGV's: Emily Campbell & Mary Beth Holmes Week 2 of the Pain series was a huge success. God has begun to process of restoring people who are going through pain currently or in the past. With this series our desire is to move Resonate past the place where we come to church and at like we have everything together and our life is a bed of roses. Because that is never the case! And many times especially in the Big C Church it becomes a show of who's life is better and we never are real with one another. Resonate is a real place, where real people come, and where we can be real. Because sometimes life sucks! It is okay to say that you are not okay! And the big misconception that God wont give us more than we can handle is a...

The David Crowder* Band & The Church Music Tour Visit Washington

Image
David Crowder and the Church Music Tour visited Christian Faith Center in Federal Way Saturday night and a bunch of us from Resonate went! It was an amazing time of worship and extremely fun to laugh and enjoy each other! We were also introduced to a couple new bands as well that were the opening acts! One band oddly enough from Independence, Kentucky! The bands name was Seabird. The other opening act was a guy I had heard of before but I had never listened to any of his stuff and he was really good. Danyew was his name! Go check both of them out. Crowder is probably the most creative band in all of the land! Seriously. I have never heard of any band secular or anywhere to be as creative as them. The concert was full of keytars, Steve 3PO, T-Pain iPhone apps, much guitar shredding, rock opera, disco, Gnomes, beards, new music and old music. It was great and if you ever have the opportunity to go and see them... you must! It was a great night with great people! I'm so gl...

Smith, Chris Tomlin & Darlene Zschech) Revelation Song (Jennie Lee Riddle / Bethel Church version) Band: Acoustic & Lead Vocals: (Me), Jason Eaton Electric: Rob Sherrod BGV's: Sarah Hatfield, Michael Cramer This weekend we began a new 4-weeks series called Pain. Pain is something that we have all experienced. Some probably worse than others. But naturally Pain is something that we will all experience. Our desire in this series is to help us see the hope we have through Christ. A lot of times we forget that Jesus said he was going to send us a "Comforter". We have to learn to lean on and trust in the Holy Spirit in our life. God always uses our suffering to draw us closer to Him and to bring glory to Himself. ...

Songs: Holding Nothing Back (Tim Hughes) Glory to God, Forever (Steve Fee & Vicky Beeching) Oh Lord, You're Beautiful (Keith Green) Revelation Song (Jennie Lee Riddle) Band: Acoustic & Lead Vocals: (Me) Jason Eaton Electric Guitar: Rob Sherrod Keys: HD Messinger BGV's: Mary Beth Holmes This weekend we wrapped up our series based off of a book by Chris and Kerry Shook called "One Month To Live". The premise of the series and the book is for us to begin living our lives as if we only had one month to live. We believe that if we were to think this way then it would change our lives and many more peoples lives. Today Scott talked about Leaving Boldly. This is something that we don't often think about but we should. Leaving this earth with a mission and purpose behind what we do is huge. All of us for the most part want to leave a lasting impression on the people we care about. We hope that when the days comes our family and friends will say more about u...

Holding Nothing Back (Tim Hughes) Fire Fall Down (Hillsong United) How Great Is Our God (Chris Tomlin) How He Loves (John Mark McMillian) Praise The Lord, O My Soul (Kevin Prosch) *My Wish (Rascal Flatts) Band: Acoustic, Lead Vocals: (Me) Jason Eaton Acoustic 2: HD Messinger BGV's: Mary Beth Holmes My prayer for our worship time has been this: That God would do exceedingly great and new things. I think a lot of times we want to recreate great worship times where we experienced the Spirit so powerful that we could never forget it. And a lot of times as worship leaders and pastors we forget that God wants to do new things in our times of connecting with Him. I am thankful that God wants to continue to blow us away with new things that He has never revealed or given to us as believers in Christ! This weekend we got to experience God new. It was a new Sunday that had never taken place before and it was a new opportunity to be with Him. It was special! We had a reminder of how mu...
