This week's value was Relational Evangelism. This is an area God has really been pressing people's heart. To build relationships with people and begin to tell them of the things that are most important to them, Jesus. Actually, I (Jason) was supposed to be teaching about our Value called Gifted Service and 1 Peter 4:10. But I suffered a back injury while doing one of the Holiest things there is... "PAINTBALL"! So Scott took my message and made it his own doing a phenomenal job as he always does. The message was based on 1 Peter 4:10 which tell us that we all have a God given gift and we are supposed to use it to serve others. Our gifts aren't to benefit ourselves but others. In many churches we get one area of service really good. We do a great job of recruiting areas of service inside the walls of the church. Such as, worship ministry, kids ministries and so on. But we forget a huge part of that... that our gifts are to be used outside ...

God really showed up in our corporate time of musical worship and it was really refreshing and new! We talked about our Value called Family Legacy. We want our families at Resonate to have God centered family life. From marriages to raising children we want God to be glorified through it all! This Sunday we focused on parents and grandparents and helping us all keep our focus on raising Godly dangerous children of God. We know that in doing that that we have to start with the end in mind. A great way to do this is to pray 1 Thessalonians 1:11-12 (NLT) over our children. It is easy to do just add your child or grandchild's name in the scripture and pray away. Resonate Church wants to do our part in being the church for the people of Haiti. As many of you know for both years of our existence as a church we have supported two missionaries who live and help out with an orphanage in Haiti. Our hearts break for the tragedy that has happened this past week and God is calling us to raise as much money as possible for the people of Haiti. We are partnering with Compassion International to donate and raise money. With just $35 you can give shelter, food, and medicine for a whole family for a month. We want to help as many families for as long as we can! So come prepared Sunday to give! We will have jars for you to take home so that you can be creative in raising money.
